        In 1975, the Hannover progressive rock band ELOY started with a new line-up, their most
        commercial climex of their career, with Jürgen Rosenthal and Detlev Schmidtchen.
        A few  years later the atmosphere froze completely.  Jürgen and Detlev had enough
        " of all those mechanisms and  spheres that restrained our creativity, dimmed our horizon
        of awareness and destroyed our identity ". For them, it was time to re- define their musical
        identity and deal with the market themselves. It was a long way to go.
        They created their own sound image of the world : "EGO on the Rocks". Instead of celebrating
        galactic sounds, they designed surreal and bizarr sond patterns and mixed them with
        modern progressive rock music. The debut album, published in 1981, presented the rather
        slack German prog rock in top form again.
